[my son just rented a house for 4 days first of Aug. $140 a day (he has never been to FG) don't know why, I have 2 trailers up there.
he takes his 24' sky boat, I take the  19' fish boat ]

I have been fishing for more than 70 years, and to this day, I've never understood the need to make fishing a competitive sport.  I'm not against it or want to see it outlawed, but I just don't understand the addiction to it by otherwise sane folks.  

I don't get it either.  How many DAM (sic) derbies does the Gorge need anyway?  Ridiculous.  Yet another drunk-fest.
