I fished multiple places at Utah Lake yesterday. Started at the state park the ice was safe at 4.5" set up in the harbor channel. water was average 7 to 8 feet deep. (Surprised because I thought it was dredged awhile back to be deeper). Had one little bite in 4 hours despite moving around from just a few feet off shore to almost the red channel markers out with 4 rods between me and my wife. We decided to head to American Fork Boat Harbor and glad we did ended up with a half a bucket of 11" white bass from the docks since the ice was not a safe thickness at only about 1". The white bass are hungry and had empty bellies if you aren't getting bites or marking fish move to a different spot because they will bite anything if they are there. I released all the smaller white bass and all the perch to keep the kitties and eyes fed up. I live 5 minutes from echo and if you are targeting Jumbos despite the population on the deck I suggest fishing the deepest spot off of a contour of the shoreline otherwise called a basin. In these places I have harvested my biggest perch and consistent browns chasing the perch even a Facebook live of a brown chasing a perch to the hole when the ice was clear. (My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever). Anyway hope my info helps.
