Any shotgun can use OO buckshot on yodel dogs, but it is a bit overkill. With OO, you only have 9-12 pellets in a 2 3/4" 12-gauge shell. Use #1 buckshot and you can get nearly double that. When I use a shotgun on the wild dogs, I usually use a full choke. You don't have to shoot them in close which would make a modified or I/C a better choice, but it will allow you to reach out an touch them which is usually the situation you find yourself in.
When I hunt them I usually have two guns with me. A shotgun and a rifle. Sometimes I use a .22 magnum which is really accurate out to 150 yards or my 25/06 which is great out to about 400 yards. With that they never know what hit them. Go get em!!!
