DMAD Reservoir Fishing ?
#3
[#0000FF]Being downriver from Yuba Reservoir...on the Sevier River...DMAD has everything that has ever been in Yuba and more. But, because it is subject to major fluctuations in water levels...as an irrigation pond...it can be good or bad on any given trip. When water levels are up you can get everything from white bass to walleyes...from suckers to smallmouths. Always a lot of carp...even in the lowest water. Ditto for bullheads.

[#0000FF]Since a lot of the fish run back up the river during low water periods in DMAD, sometimes you are better off seeking out holes in the river. Still other times you will do better by going further downstream to the Gunnison Bend Reservoir. By the way, that is the only place in Utah where you can get white crappies. And there are some good sized ones there.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]A lot of the locals down there have stories of barn burner days on those waters. Those of us from the Wasatch Front often don't do well...since we don't know the water well and may not have good timing.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]As always, you have to put in the time and learn the vicissitudes of DMAD and surroundings. But it is a long way for you to go just for the fishing. However, if business takes you down that way be sure to take tackle and try some casts. And be prepared for everything from panfish to pike.
