Location Saratoga Springs / Utah lake
Target - White Bass for next years catfish bait
Time - Evening / sunset
Method: dropshot, double dropshot and highlow rigs, often tipped with worm
Ran over to Utah lake in the evening last week. Was looking to fill a bucket with white bass for next years catfish bait. Ended up meeting a very cool kid (Austin in case any of you know him) who invited me to join him in his hot spot catching crappie - I obliged and picked up about 5. He was a very fun young buck to fish with asking lots of questions and offering lots of information. Everytime he got a bite he would get so excited - reminded me why I fish. I think he was playing hookie from school, but who could blame him.
After playing with the crappie, we switched over and started to catch the white bass. Action was pretty steady all evening with big fish showing up as the sun set. Another BFT member joined us as the sun set and helped fill my bucket. I wont mention a name as I did not ask if I could but I think he flashed a face in one video scene so you might recognize him. From the photos he shared it is obvious he and his crew are UL master fishers.
Anyway the fishing was hot and fun and I enjoyed new friends as part of the day
