Went out this a.m. to replenish my supply of white bass. Started at the Lincoln launch at about 6:00 and caught a dozen or so. Moved around to Mulberry and found a fish hatchery situation of white bass. One every cast for about an hour. Took my 7 ft light rod with a small silver spinner -- every cast. Finally just started dangling the spinner straight down on the surface and the bass took it readily.
Big midge hatch going on and the wb were surface slurping them by the thousands. Shoreline was dimpled everywhere along the shore with feeding wb. The frenzy lasted until the sun hit the water and then they were gone.
Good for bait gathering or kids could have a fun time catching them.
