Lake Pleasant
#3
I’ve only fished pleasant once and I was in a boat and didn’t catch a darn thing. It was super windy and hard to stay in one place with my little boat though. I’ve talked to a few people who catch lots of fish out there though. A good area to start would be in the coves on the west side of the lake. It looks like there is good road access. There is a cove by the desert tortoise campground that looks like it has good cover to catch some bluegill in. I would use a small, 1/16 or 1/32 ounce jig with a curly tail on it. You could either do a slow retrieve or put a bobber above it. Catfishing would probably be good there too but that can get a little boring for a kid. Make sure what ever you use you tip it with a small piece of worm though. Bluegills love em. I wish I had more specific suggestions for you but Pleasant is a lake I always try to get out on but i never seem to have the time. If you are near a community pond those are great for the kids. Too many adults there for my liking sometimes though. If you have any questions about lakes farther east feel free to PM me or post on the forum. When you catch some make sure you upload the pictures though. Good luck 👍
