I'd say the catfish was probably in the 9.5 to 10 pound range judging by it's size compared to the person's fingers. I would put the length at about 28 to 29 inches, again based on the same comparison.

It's definitely a nice channel catfish. Due to it's age, this would be a good one to release to avoid possible mercury exposure. The older the fish, the higher the mercury build up in it's tissues.
