If you could post a couple of pictures of you transducer while the boat is on the trailer, it would help us out. A side picture, 3-4 feet away and a rear picture. the side picture should be level with the bottom of the boat for a reference. Also putting a transducer mounting board on the stern of your boat will allow multiple trials for locating the transducer without adding any more holes in the stern of the boat. They would just be in the mounting board.
