Lincoln report Sat. 5/25/19
#3
I saw you guys lurking around out in that deeper water. I was closer to shore in my kayak. It was a good day (finally), with no rain and only a ripple of wind. I have been heavily sedated for the past week due to the constant rain, wind, and cold. I was on the verge of being confined to a secure facility for SAD treatment (Seasonal Affective Disorder). We need some warm weather.

The water temps have been stuck in the mid-50s for a month now. I think the cats have been too cold to even think about love. Most of the fish I caught Saturday were large females -- how I long to hook into a big, thick-lipped, "blue" cat that is battle scared from rough love. Seems like in times past I have always caught some of the big males during May. Maybe when they do finally get serious about love, more of those big males will start to show up.

Bring it on.
