I've been working on a volunteer opportunity at Lincoln Beach. It's the Adopt-A-Shoreline program. Pending final approval BFT will adopt the Lincoln Beach Access Point. This will involve trash cleanup and invasive weed notification to the Utah Lake Commission. This will be a very positive pursuit and will get our name out more to the general public. "Everybody talks about the trash problem but nobody does anything about it." I know that many of us already pick up all the garbage we can when out fishing, but this will give us a chance to have our efforts be seen. We have to do three cleanup events (I'm thinking April, June and September to avoid the heat). We would also need to keep the area somewhat cleaned up by individuals in between the major cleanup events. Anyway, as they say, more details to follow. I'd love to hear from anyone who can support this project.
