We took some sleds out yesterday and had problems with the slush. Most of the areas we traveled were fine but we found pockets of slush up to 10" deep. The sled that was pulling our gear got stuck pretty bad and if we hadn't had 800cc sleds with long tracks we might still be out there. And there is a bunch more snow in the forecast that'll make things worse. I'm not trying to discourage people from going out, just make sure you have the right equipment and don't go alone.
We drilled a lot of holes trying to find the fish and finally found some in 42 feet of water. Each of us caught a few and the trip was a good time.
