Awesome Idea - I'd definitely volunteer to help.
Thorne Bros in Blaine, MN puts on a show every year but they usually do it before first ice. It's called the "Portable Modification Get Together" where everyone brings all the cool ideas they have come up with for modifications to their sleds, shelters, etc. They have seminars from industry Pros, industry reps, food, prizes, and a chance to see all the new items for the upcoming season.
Combine a modification show off area with all the education topics - would be an awesome event.
