I have had good luck with the lighter Whuppin Stick rods and now the Eagle Claw Kokanee rods for kokes, all were under $30 each and rarely lose a fish anymore. When I first started fishing the gorge I tried to make the depthmaster rods work for both kokes and macs, but even with a snubber we lost about twice the number of kokes compared to using the current lighter rods. And I really wonder if the Whuppin Sticks are made by Ugly Stik.
