Actually, it doesn't. Large fish are not the product of "old age". Rather, large fish are the product of fast growth.
Look back at LOAH's pictures. He shows a picture of a handful of amphipods (scuds). Those fish are gorging on amphipods - which means they are growing FAST. When fish grow fast, they get large.
There is a reason why those lakes produce big fish, and it is not because the fish are old and took a long time to get big.
