Strawberry with the grandkids

I don't like fishing on a Saturday.
but I have a hard time getting together with with my grand kids. My wife stayed home so we could have 6 in the boat.

Can you die from too much excitement? (at my age)

I told them to be at my house at 3:30 am, they all made it

we started fishing in the dark

they know how to run the downriggers but they don't fish with me a lot
I did not reel one fish in

what was exciting was how many kokanee they missed and how they missed them
they missed them half way in, at the boat we did not catch a lot of Cuts so about everything we hooked into were kokes.

they would get so Excited they forgot what they should do.
I was hopping we would take 24 home but we did not make it we only got 17 in the boat
biggest was 18 they missed some big ones. we had 5 fishing poles out.
I stayed in a spot that was about 200 X 200 yards.
not a lot of boats by us, maybe we were making so much noise they left.
the kokes stopped biting good about 9:30
the parking lot was full when we left.
