Fishing around St George
#5
Yes agreed with previous comments - to some extent.

Your best bet is going to be Sand Hollow for bass (I doubt you will find any trout at Sand Hollow) I wasn't aware there were any left in there...if you are lucky you will hook into so crappie.

Quail Creek for trout. Bass fishing is generally a little slower than Sand Hollow but you can still catch some nice ones.

Gunlock was treated with rotenone at end of 2015 and the fishery is still rebounding. They have planted or transplanted fish, so starting to hear more and more reports of success.

Baker Dam reservoir will usually have some planter bows in there. Rumors of big browns, rare to come by these days.

Sand Hollow, Quail, Gunlock, and Baker Dam are all within 30 mins of St. George. The last 2 are a bit further, but no more than 1 to 1.5 hours away.

Enterprise your best target is for trout, maybe some bass.

Don't forget Newcastle - this is the only place nearby you are going to catch wipers, unless you make the drive up to minersville. You can also hook in to trout at Newcastle, MAYBE some bass.
