We hit the ice at the Confluence on Saturday. There's about 6-inches of snow up there, and the ice is still a solid 10.5 inches. The drive up showed much of the lower reservoir had flashed with a new layer of thin ice. Maybe it'll be ready by next weekend if it stays cold an doesn't blow?
Fishing was slow and we only iced 6 lakers and 2 bows. We did have a couple others on and a few light hitters. Overall, we marked few fish relative to our last trip. I suspect the fishing will be better further south, if the new ice firms up enough.
Lakers were caught on Dry Creek Outfitters 3.5 inch tubes in white lightning and a gold Hopkins spoon tipped with sucker. Bows were caught on small Buckshot spoons tipped with meal worm.
Hope it helps, Ryno
