Haha, my brother bought me a banjo minnow kit about 15-20 years ago and I thanked him for it while mocking him behind his back for getting me a "gimmick". Finally one day while fishing Weston reservoir in Idaho, I had forgot my regular bass tackle box and only had the banjo minnows with me so I busted them out and game them a go. They worked extremely well and quickly became one of my favorite lures for a few seasons until I ran out of them and never bothered to try to find them again. I still think I could make some up using aftermarket parts and gulp minnows for an even more effective setup.
