Pineview slow but caught one long one

I'd be just as interested in the bluegills, assuming they are not the finger long types. I used to catch a couple 9" ers every time we hit the crappies in early May, and perch, too.

Could they be caught from shore? My kayak won't go on top of my new little suv without a rack.
