Hit Hyrum today and since I was with a trout guy we trolled for an hour or so and had 4-5 fish on but didn't land one. They felt like monster 8" planters so we weren't too heart broken. Plus I wanted to try out the new Marcum LX-7. Can I say in love with a machine? Anyway we anchored up over a perch pile and went to figuring out the new machine. Didn't take but a second. Then getting the right lure and bait, oh and BTW everything we tried worked. Fish were ultra aggressive so I'd lower my offering down to 2' from bottom and watch the fish race up from the bottom and grab my lure. It was fish all day steady. We got a dozen or two bass around 6-8" then perch were there on and off all day probably caught a couple dozen of those. Only a few were 8-10" but I think I kept half dozen or so of them. Plus a few bait size to try on the cats. It was a fun day and loved the new finder it was so nice to see exactly what the fish were doing and then figure out how to tease them into hitting it was a blast. Must say this finder is light years ahead of the boat finder I had been using. At least for always being consistent with letting me see my jig and the fish. My old one would work once in awhile and was good then but most of the time you couldn't see your jig. So this is really nice. Thumbs up from me. Later J
