Both are correct.
They are taking their readings from different places.
Right at the dam the amount being released is 300 cfs.
The Timp canal takes about 40 right there at the dam and then Rock Creek takes another 90 or so leaving it at about 160 at the bridge on River road. There is another diversion right at the River road bridge that takes about 20 and one about a mile down river right that takes another 40 or so.
