When Kent and I went over in late August last year I tried fishing below that bridge too. But the water was pouring out of the dam...bringing large balls of weeds with it. I tossed out a minnow trap into an area I thought might be safe, but a "bale of hay" latched on to my trap and tore one side off it. I did not dare try throwing a net. There were chubs there but no way to fish them safely.
