My previous center console and the boat I have now have a valve in the bilge that can be shut off, the center console was under the seat, the one I have now is in the very back of the boat under a cover, they should be turned off when leaving the boat moored in case a hose leaks, the center console had a three way ball valve to switch between wash down and livewell, new boat have seperate pumps, but use the same intake valve,
