At least two of them have taken me and several other members up there to the Twin Falls or CJ strike area fishing for the beast. I can't speak for both of them but they have put out invites several times over the years. One lives here in Utah the other lives in Idaho. If neither one replies to this thread I can send you a PM with their user names if you like? One of them just made a post about their last trip up there: [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gforum/gforum.cgi?post=1012425;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;page=unread#unread
"]http://www.bigfishtackle.com/...read#unread

Curtis, as you know I do not make guided sturgeon trips and that is what this member is seeking. I am not licensed to be a guide and do not charge anyone who cares to join me on a fishing trip. We fish as friends and equally split the cost of the trip. If one wants a guide there are some good ones, one just needs to Google "Guided sturgeon fishing Idaho" and visit their websites.
When I was researching fishing for sturgeon I was not interested in fishing with a guide. All of the guides that I found would take me fishing in their jet boats in an area that was only accessible by jet boat. Had I gone with one I'm sure that I would have had a fun day of fishing, and I would have caught a sturgeon or two or three; however, I would be unable to repeat the experience without hiring a guide again. I wanted to learn where I could fish from my regular boat and go back many times. Fortunately, I found a guy who pointed me in the right direction.
Over the years, I have helped many anglers catch the largest fish of their lifetimes. We catch multiple sturgeon on most trips but, as you know, some trips have been a struggle in not being able to find the fish or the weather has been ugly, or both. If Thorny wants my input then he is welcome to send me a PM.
