Great report. It's hard to beat trolling wipers in a kayak. I saw quite a few smaller wipers near the shore towards pelican beach yesterday. As I snuck into the flooded trees there were a few wipers cruising the surface. I trolled that area but no hits. One fish was right on top and his dorsal fin was breaking the water as it took off like a little spiked shark.
