503 347 4321[/quote] I would say the "SAFE" ice is up at Strawberry. Please don't take offense, but Late ice and early ice should be accessed by those who are experienced and can read ice themselves. It may be a completely different story up there by the time you get to go. Things can change quickly given weather and the amount of water flowing in. I don't feel comfortable telling you to go to a place that has questionable ice in places when you are with someone who is scared of the ice. My wife is scared of the ice, she fell through as a child. I would say your best bet is Strawberry on a nice sunny day.
