Spanked the Perch at Echo. Edges on the east side are hit or miss. I hadn't seen a report in a while but took the chance that it had frozen anyway because of the cold nights this past week. The main ice pack shifted to the east side of the lake as it was rising. Some ridging has occured on east shore. The ice where we got on was 5" (no gap) and 10 feet out the ice was 8" clear. Out in the middle the ice is 10". Be careful here, there looks to still be some wet spots near shore here and there, and the far south end of the lake is pretty sketchy. Lots of water coming in, but also lots flowing out below the dam.
