fished til about 1230 with my neighbor Charlie, ran some bluffs early and caught one smallie and one spot on the Pro-Shimmy jig from TrueSouth Custom Lures, threw the MOAB buzzbait around a little but never could any to take it, did have one good boil on it. made it back into a creek and found some grass, first 5minutes and Charlie had one on a frog! thought to myself "this could be good!" worked over that mat pretty good with no more takers, started punching/flipping it but to no avail. went to check on a couple of other mats and one was gone/so shallow I couldn't hardly get the boat to the mat that was left and the other was a fraction of its previous size and couldnt get a bite. dropped Charlie off at 1230 and ran into another creek to some mats I fished on wednesday afternoon and caught 1 and had a a couple of other half ass attempts. great to be out but kind of expected it.
