Strawberry Bows
#1
I've been fishing Strawberry for several years, and can reliably find Rainbows in the Winter and Spring, but it seems like this time of year they scatter and evade me. I generally fish the narrows.

My dad and little brother are in town this week and we are going out tomorrow. I would love to show them a great time and send them home with a few. Generally I long-line a dodger with an RMT squid and a bit of worm. Like I said, this works excellent when the water is cooler, but doesn't seem to do the trick in the warm water.

Would I be better off dropping anchor off a weed bed and jigging a worm? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I did well on bows a couple weeks ago fly fishing for them next to weed beds in about 20 feet of water. I was fishing several different bays in my pontoon boat on the Strawberry side.

Yes and probably in water from 20 to 32' deep, depending upon the time of day.
