Got on the water around 9:00. Headed to a spot I've been wanting to try that always has someone camped out on. Well, got there and sho nuff, someone was there. emoBang We done like usual, headed on up river and fished a dock that we found last time we went to that same spot and someone was there. Turned out to be a pretty good dock emoBig
The bite was a little slow but good enough to keep us there for a couple of hours. Got to be more bream pecks than crappie bites so we decided to go back and see if our spot was vacant. "Happy day" It was..... And they left us some fish....... The bite was still slow but the fish were bigger. Thought we would try some docks again hoping for more agressive fish. Found some but they were not as big as the spot we left, so we went back to the spot where the big fish were. Stayed there till we left around 2:30. Ended up with 18 keepers. Not bad for us on a slow day. OK.... who am I trying to kid...... Not bad for us any day. Lol. Outlaw special, monkey milk and blue thunder were our best colors. 1/16 and 1/32. Water temp started out at 49 and was 54 when we left.
