Had the honor of taking Paul out for some relaxation and arm workouts. He is a law enforcement officer, so the day was full of interesting talk whenever we could manage the time. Really reminded me how often we under appreciate our honest officers that protect us and put their lives on the line everyday.

Got a bit of a late start due to traffic, and getting a boat inspection done.
Hit the water about 9:30 I guess and we fished till about 6. Seems like we could do no wrong! They were on fire!
Started out chasing big cats, and the first three went 29,37,43# what a hoot! We then hooked up with a "Barndoor" that gave us a really hard tow for about 10 minutes before the hook popped out. Figured it was probably hooked in the skin at the corner and the pressure was too much emoSorry
He was pretty done with the back ache at that point so we focused on quantity over quality. (Hard for me to do) We ended up with 3 doubles, one triple and my first ever quadruple! emoParty Boated about 37 blue cats weighing mostly in the 8-15 lb range. He wanted to take a couple back for a banquet the cops were having and we had trouble finding small enough fish to fit the cooler but ended with three we made work.

Great day, great company, and great fish!
