Bear Lake Ice Fest

Hey BLFG I heard rumors of ice on Bear Lake, so I checked the live camera views and it looks like ice, what do you think, will this stick so Cisco is going to be on ice for a change? Keep the wind shutoff and let'er freeze nice thick and safe.... When do you suspect the ice will be safe to try some ice fishing? Thanks for the update... J

Wow, didn't see that one at all. Thanks for the update. Lets hope she tacks tight before a storm comes through. Might have a week if the current reports hold. I sure hope so I would really like to get my scouts onto some ice Cisco. Thanks again J

My bro was over today and said its still open except a little ice around the edges. I'm bummed I was hoping this cold spell would tack it over now I don't know if we'll have ice by Cisco or not. Keep your fingers crossed. Later J

Thanks for the update with these temps I thought this would be the year. I know it a liiitle early so we could still get ice.

I'm thinking we will get the cap by Cisco it's started early enough that I bet it will cap if the w--- will stay away. I'm sure hoping for the ice it's rare but really fun if it happens. Well hope to see ya on the ice in two weeks. Later J

Hate to say it was up there this weekend and any ice that formed was gone by about 11 am I don't know if it will freeze up this year

I'm afraid you might be right, but for the next few weeks ill really be hoping it will. My brother was there this weekend as well and said its much warmer there than Cache Valley so he did think it was going to make it frozen in time either. Thanks for your report as well. Later J
