Float tube seat mod?

Hey all

My bro owns the Creek Company U-boat tube

The seat on this model is just a piece of material. I sit a lot higher in my fat cat. He is looking for a way to modify his seat and sit higher. I told him to sit on a life jacket or some foam, but I thought I'd ask and see what you guys think. Has this kind of modification ever been done before?? Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes I used a boat cushion for years, worked for me.

I think a cushion could work, but don't try to sit as high as a fat cat. They are not designed for that and it could get unstable.

Yes. On my old Caddis tube I strapped it down to the seat area, but if you do that make sure you wear a separate pfd.
