Catfish at DC?

There were thousands of little catfish babies (maybe 1" or so) swimming in the shallows at the Charleston boat ramp the other day. Are we looking at the effects of another illegal introduction or were cats ever legally planted there?

Last year the big to do was the white bass in the same place. I fish it pretty regularly and haven't seen nor heard anyone catching any whites, not cats, out of DC. Just wondering what is going on.

there have been cats there for a while channel and bullhead never caught one myself but i have seen them just not in those numbers wow. Thanks for the update

my buddy and i have caught several catfish out of there i am thinking they were but there illegally it really sucks!
