first tubing trip
#1
finally got out on the fc4 today for the first time,[fishin] was only out for a couple hours as the wind and rain showed up. launched myself in the north marina of willard bay, and stayed there as i didn't know what i was doing, tube seamed great didn't have any problems it moves through the water very well as far as i could tell. took me a bit to figure out how to maneuver through the water, but once that was figured out my only problem was getting it to stay facing one direction, and when i was drifting i had a heck of a time getting it to face the direction i wanted it too. I just need some good weather to get some practice in. Managed to catch one fish(carp) and learned i need a longer handle on the net, otherwise i'm thinking i am hooked on the whole tube fishing idea, now i need to convince my buddy to get one.

Good first trip. A fish is a fish in my book.

I fell on my face the first time I tried to walk in fins! [laugh] If you didn't do that you are way ahead of me.

This has been an absolutely awful Spring to try and get out in a tube. The days have been few and far between that were calm enough to enjoy, but hopefully more will come. The next time you go maneuvering will become automatic.

i didn't put the fins on until i sat in the tube in the water, it was the last thing i did before launching figured it would be easier to do it then than trying to walk in them. took a little power nap and now it looks nice and clear out, this weather is really getting annoying, but its always crappy weird till after memorial weekend.
