Hit Yuba this afternoon to a sloooooooooow bite. I went out past the island to the northwest in about 15ft of water, opened 4 new holes and redrilled my 2 lucky ones from earlier this week. Moved around a lot. Fish on the graph, nothin playing this game. Caught 2 bait buggers... then about 430ish I caught 4 in a row all close to 13" one actual... Bite was uber soft and fish wanted finesse. Then nada, I was tired from a full week, so rather than attempt a limit I went home. Again the toothy pole sat silent as I read my book.

I sure wish I could catch those pike. My pike pole sits quiet every time I go there. The perch make it fun. Maybe one day our luck will change.

I was there on Fri afternoon as well. I was the one in the ford ranger. I got there a little after 4 and it took until 6:30 to finish my limit. No monsters for me but most were around the 10 inch mark. Fished just north of the island in 18 feet of water. Bite really picked up after the sun went down. Sorry I didn't say hello, mabey next time. I need to start packing my camera with me so I can post some pics.

Good work! It has seemed in the past couple weeks the bite picks up just about sundown and I have bagged the last few to my limit. I was pretty burnt Friday so I called it. Definatley say hello if you get the chance!
