My friend drew an archery elk tag for the North Cache unit. He has a few spots in mind and has done his research, but I was just wondering if anyone out there had any additional tips or useful info on this unit?
 Thanks, Matt

I have the early rifle tag for this unit! Around White Pine is a good place to start and Franklin Basin. Find the water and you will find the elk!!

With all the biologists you know I shouldn't think that would be a big problem[:p]

		[crazy]

Maybe if it was him that drew the LE tag then he would do some of the serious leg work.

If I had an LE tag I wouldn't wait for them to return my call this late in the year, I would call them every day or go find them. And not one but all of them in the region. I found one biologist who actually bowhunted for elk and was willing to share the information. Wrong region though. It is getting to the point that you can only get one of those tags every 7 years or so. Good luck!

I would go about it the same way if I had the tag. I was just doing a little research to help a friend out.
