I am going up to Auburn next week. I know of a few ponds, hopefully thet won't be iced over. Any suggestions on what to use.

if you find walkable ice I suggest minow, wax worm, or mousies... arbordeen hook no bigger than a number 6 for crappie and use tear drop jigs with the mouseie or wax worms...
