Hit the parkway last night for 2 hours. Started at 4:30 and left at 6:30. Lots of top water action, but I didn't have anything they wanted. Lost a very large fish to a prince, then switched nymphs until I started taking them on a size 18 hare's ear and a size 18 adams emerger. The fishing was fast and furious with a couple pushing 16". Water was clear and cold.

Lots of snakes. I fought off at least 20. One took my pheasant tail and fought like the dickens.

Hatch was mixed. Lots of mayflies, caddis and some midges. They were really hitting the caddis hard. I didn't have a good match and they didn't take. I some some leaping from the water trying to get to the caddis and those that did land were immediatly snapped up.
