That is a shame. I hate seeing things like that. I wonder if the owner, or a passenger, needed medical attention and in their rush, they left the boat on shore. Maybe some hooligans pulled the plug and watched it sink, thinking it was funny.

All those thoughts and a few more ran through my mind also. I wanted to go back the next day and see if they got it out of there but I never made it. It would have been a job to raise the boat without a good deal of help. Another guy from the site was there a few days later and the boat was gone so someone move it at least. WH2

two things come to my mind when I see something like that, the first being "woops, I forgot the plug" and the second and less likley but an all to common site is "snatched and stached"

Had it not been for it being beached maritime law states you can salvage the reck and any one wishing to claim it would owe you for your time and services. well in michigan any ways.

I pulled one out of the lake this past spring and now it is my problem... how do I get rid of it...lol

the police said I could bring it in and drop it off if I wanted. I may end up doing that....

I didn't think about the salvage idea, I guess I should check into it and find out what the rules are here. How long had the boat been in the water that you salvaged this year? WH2

I did not particulary want it, it was sunken in my subdivision beach and had to be removed.
