Early AM run to Heber so I took a rod with me to give Jordy a try for a few hours.
Just walked the bank throwing various spinners and spoons. Mepps Aglia in black and yellow, Thomas Buoyant in Cutthroat and super dupers. Fishing was very good. Fish on my 4th cast and one every 30 or so after that.
The water level is way, way down and if you bass fish Jordy now is a good time to scout for brush piles and where rock extends into the water. The closer you get to the water the slippery mud gets to be more and more, and you will sink in. All of the rain has probably helped with that.
The fish were all rainbows, all in the 12 to 14" range, nothing big. Fought nice as the water cools off and were released for the next time. Wind came up by 9:30 and the whitecaps started so I headed home.
I may run up there again tomorrow, or Pineview to search for crappie from the kayak.
