Fished off the docks from 7:30-10:30 this morning.  The perch were fewer in number, smaller in size and less interested as compared to last Saturday.  Got enough 8s and 9s for a dinner, but one here/one there.  Had to go thru a lot of plastics to see what they'd hit.  Only 1 bass on the jerkbait.  Also caught five 6" chubs, which were right beneath the docks, while the perch were out a ways. Hit my highway spot on the way home for 30 minutes, and not even a bite.  Might return Friday.

Mike, good report maybe the shift in weather turned them off a bit.
Better luck next time I hope!

Being a care giver, I have not made it out yet this year but when I do Rockport will be my first stop. Thanks for the reports.

Chubs in RP? That's the first time I've heard to anyone catching them there, but I guess it should not surprise me, since they are in Lost creek, in big numbers.

We caught a bunch of chubs there this week with the student club, also.

Hey Lance, have you ever caught them before in RP?
Yes, last summer but not that many or that size.

I have caught a few.  Usually just one in among a lot of perch.  I suspect that the large population of perch keeps them from overpopulating.  But once they get the upper hand the trout fishing will suffer.
