Decided to make the 12 mile round trip today to the Knolls. Fishing was good but not fast. Caught 8 total in about 3 hours. Number 8 had to be hooked 3 times. Silly fish didn’t know how to hold on. All caught on white bass cut bait. Water temp was about 66 degrees everywhere. Lake color was actually better today. Green instead of brown.

Nice cats Ben, been there a couple of times this year but I make the 50 mile round trip to fish from my kayak. Good area with some good cats and it should get better as the spawn continues. I fished Lincoln yesterday and could not find water above 60 degrees?? Heading for Provo Bay today. Looks like the wind and rain is returning for the rest of the week... bummer

Thanks Jeff. I usually don’t keep that many fish but I have some local landowners that like catfish. It helps with access to their lands come hunting season.

Well Ben I'm thinking we cleaned out all of your fish supply for the flotilla, so I'm sure you need to restock a little after that wonderful feed you put on for everyone... I want to get a bunch of smoked catfish made up myself, but I don't know when I'll get back out... Seeing how many fish folks are catching now, I sure want to go bad, but priorities are causing me stress lately... May have to sneak out anyway... Later Jeff
