Sand Hollow
#1
Hit Sand Hollow over the weekend. Lot of fishermen and lots fish.... just very lock jawed.

Had a few bumps on soft plastics, but they seem to be staging to spawn. The area I was fishing had pods of fish, but none on beds, and thus they would look, but not commit to what I was throwing. Very frustrating to see 5+ pound fish just stare at your soft plastics, and then give you the middle fin.

On a side note we met some very nice guys from Berst Custom Baits that gave our boys some custom painted square bills. Phenomenal color schemes! Going to put them to work on smallies this summer!

Sorry to hear they had lock-jaw for you guys. We've been nailing them on the Southeast side, as well as along the south dam. I hear ya on the frustration a female can cause when she constantly denies your offerings, both in life and in fishing, lol. Persistence usually pays off...I've spent upwards of 45 min working a female over to have her finally take. Hard to dedicate the time to a single fish, but if she's big enough, it is worth it! No fishing SH for us this weekend with all the nutzos swimming in the Ironman...that's ok, golf it is! Take care!

I have been throwing white and pearl crank bait at them and it has been producing. Hot mustard and bluegill cranks work when you want to just piss them off.
