Air Force here also. 1972-1976 They announced they were pulling out of VN while I was in basic training.

It is nice now to be appreciated instead of being treated like baby killers. I have a Veterans driver license and have heard " thanks so much for your service" 100's of times. And most places give 10 to 20% off for vets now.

I ask most business places to see if they offer a military discount, you would be surprised how many places do.
