Porcupine: Jan 10. Anyone game?

I plan to drive up friday to throw some rocks, jump on the ice, and drill a few holes. I would hate to get up there at 6am Saturday only to find unsafe ice. If anyone wants to meet us up there we will be there early Saturday in a big Green Dome tent. I haven't heard anything about the ice up there yet so watch for the post Friday night.

I would be game to go to Porcupine, if wasnt already going to Starvation. But I am looking forward to your report. If you are able to get to the lake without much trouble I would love to go up there. From what I have heard this time of year you probably can only get to the base of the dam and have to hike up??? Is this true??? I want to get up there and target Kokes!!!

[red][size 3]I have honey do's like crazy (new cabinets, jet tub and tile in the bathroom) but should be able to cut out for a few hours Saturday morning. It was 6 degrees at 6pm tonight and Hyrum Res. only had a ten foot circle of open water right in the middle with fifty birds trying to float in it. Porcupine should be more than safe, especially with a few more days of this weather. [/size][/red]

I'll either be going there or Hyrum that day. I know the plows aren't going up to the base of the dam this year but the drivers have said that people are traveling the road so the road will be snow packed and probably slick. I look forward to your report of the conditions up there. If you have a two way I'll call out on Ch.12 and see how things are going if you're there before me.

I would also like to get up there and catch a few kokes but that weekend is the begining of the cisco run at Bear lake. Once the cisco run is over I'll be there to find some of those silver fish, so I look forward to your post. With the cold weather we are having this week the lake should have a good cap on it, now if you can drive up that dam, life will be good. WH2
