Strawberry Update 9/9 (Renegade)
#1
The courtesy dock has been pulled. Don't know why because they usually leave it in longer. The docks where people leave their boats overnight are still in the water and the gate is open so you and launch and then pick up your passenger on those docks. Renegade campground is closed, and I assume the restrooms are closed too but I didn't try them.

Air temp was 39 on arrival and 61 when we left at 11:30. Water temp was 56 degrees.

Fishing was good, we motored over to the east mountain and fished about 250 yards from shore in 45 FOW. Fish were active on top, so I fished with a slip bobber and white jig tipped with worm about 5 ft down. On my second pole I used a green jig that had clear tail with red flakes tipped with a worm. Throw out and slow retrieve. Fishing was fast even had two fish on at the same time. The slip bobber rig was by far the best. Between the two of us we boated and released probably 50 fish (I stopped counting). One Rainbow and the rest were slot Cutts. We missed more than we caught. Probably going to go back again next week depending on the weather. It's the best time of year to fish Strawberry if you're not targeting Kokes.

Great report, but I have a hunch you meant 10/9 instead of 9/9.
