Jordanelle perchapolooza

Just got back from Jordy.  Took my buddy and his 2 grandkids.  Fished from 9-1:30.  Kids had a ball catching the best bag of 10"plus perch ever there.  Started the first hour at the N end by the now high-and-dry PWC ramp and the adjacent Boulder Field, hoping to get them some 10-12" bass, but only small ones there.  Went upriver on the N side and found the perch out from stick-ups in 10-15'.  Single-tail 4" grubs the ticket once again. Kept 35.  He & I hardly fished, kept busy by unhooking fish, pulling off snags, etc.  Got some nice bags of fillets to hold us over until ice fishing, which could be very promising at Jordanelle if it freezes.  Water 65.  We ended up being caught ourselves --- in that 10-minute hailstorm downpour --- pulling out the boat.

Hey Perch..good to hear from you..sounds like a pretty remarkable trip, esp. for the kids..always nice to hear about some good areas with perch, but I probably won't try it there 'til ice up..if that happens..way to go!
