Tubdude Lures and Student Anglers at RP
#1
Pat made an amazing donation of his handmade lures to our Student Angler club. Can't say thanks to him often or well enough for that. Met up my club at Rockport a couple days back and let them dig into the donations to build thier own TD tackle box. Then we put them to work. Perch were very willing to play. Size was mixed. Action was fast. I tore em up with some floating hot head jigs of Pat's in white. Got em on pony jigs, some small cranks and his spinner. They loved about what we tossed and we tossed a lot. Great day and a legacy donation that will inspire and build a future generation of anglers for as many years as I can keep taking em out. And years after as they share that knowledge. I had a heart to heart with them and let them know the lures were not free. They came with a payback expectation that they share freely what they know with others who want to learn. It is Pats way and the only way to return the generosity given to them.

Wow, good on ya Pat! Better keep the coordinates of those totes under sworn secrecy Cowboy. I remember the same feeling of the one student. Gotta put my fingers in every divider and grab some of each, impossible to find one that didn't look good

Well done, son.  Does my soul good to see my stuff being used and enjoyed by the younger generation.  Couldn't think of a better way for it to be passed on.

Looks like the perch approved.  Now ya gotta get them into some other species.  Have fun and good luck.

WOW, that is a lot of tackle that TubeDude gave away. I want to join the club. Pat is a very generous person. Those young men will remember this day for a very long time and the gifts of your kindness. My hat is off to you and the Cowboy.

Hey Lance, you mentioned that you were making print copies of some of my PVC-torials for your club members.  Since a lot of the stuff they just got was in the jigging category, I thought I should provide some written stuff on that subject that could help them learn and use it better.  These PVC pieces are from a CD/book I put together a few years ago and have updated and modified a few times since.  And since there are probably a few other BFTers who might like to have it, I will post it here rather than sending it all to you by email.  Hope it helps.

Txs Pat. I will share them with the club. They are excited to paint some of the unfinished ones.

Also a couple more PDF writeups on the subject...for painting and glittering.  Let me know if there is anything else you need for your club to continue their edumacation.  Good luck.  Love the videos.
